Hi, I’m Faith. The artist behind möS.
I am a moss sculptor drawn to the organic, restorative, and cleansing energy that moss brings as my primary medium. My work celebrates the quiet power of this ancient organism—its ability to heal environments, purify air, and transform forgotten spaces into sanctuaries of green vitality.
Growing up surrounded by greenery was fundamental to who I am. Weekend visits to Maymont Park and endless hours playing on the farm in Saxe, Virginia, instilled in me a deep connection to the natural world. When I moved to New York City eight years ago, maintaining access to that green energy became non-negotiable. My first apartment wasn't near a park, so I did what felt natural—I created my own verdant sanctuary in my room, cultivating the healing presence of plants in an urban landscape.
My artistic journey crystallized when I was invited to participate in an exhibit at Allure Art Studio in Jamaica, Queens. When my piece sold, I knew I had found my calling. I've been curating moss art ever since, exploring how this humble yet resilient medium can bridge the gap between our urban lives and our innate need for natural restoration.
Sustainability is woven into every aspect of my practice. I primarily use thrifted and recycled materials as the foundation for my moss sculptures, honoring both the environment and the transformative spirit of my medium. Each piece becomes a meditation on renewal—not just through the living moss itself, but through the reclaimed materials that give it structure and form.
Through my work, I invite others to slow down and reconnect with the quiet wisdom of nature, discovering how something as simple as moss can cleanse our spaces and restore our spirits in the midst of city life.
